RED SPRING SMOOTHIE

Stay rooted and get ready for spring with this combination smoothie! Incorporating the juice of some root vegetables gives us the grounded and comfortable feeling from winter, while the tropical fruits and vanilla make us long for summer. Combining the best of both seasons, this is the perfect smoothie to enjoy with the first rays of sun this spring!

Ingredients:

1 beet root 
1 big piece of fresh turmeric root 
1 small piece of ginger
ΒΌ papaya 
1 cup fresh or frozen mango
1 cup coconut water
Β½ teaspoon fresh vanilla powder
Splash of almond milk

Directions:

Juice the beet, turmeric and ginger. Add the juice to a blender and blend it with the papaya (peel and seeds removed), mango, coconut water, vanilla and a splash of almond milk (optional). For desired consistency you can add a little more coconut water or some ice. Enjoy!
